JESSICA J. BROOKS, PhD, LP

Dr. Brooks is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at Georgia Southern University.  In this capacity, she provides instruction at undergraduate and graduate levels, specifically within the Clinical Psychology doctoral program. She also provides research mentorship to undergraduate and graduate students.

 

Dr. Brooks' AMP Health Lab is invested in conducting quality scholarship in the areas of addiction, mental health and wellness using a biospychosocial approach. Secondarily, Dr. Brooks investigates mechanisms of clinical training and the development of early career psychologists.

In collaboration with Dr. Ryan Couillou, Assistant Professor of Psychology at Georgia Southern University, Dr. Brooks developed and provides oversight to The REFLECT Program, a consultation and action-based research project geared toward providing pro bono mental health and wellness consultation and outreach services, as well as conducting community-based research, to agencies in need. 

 

Dr. Brooks is a licensed psychologist in the state of Georgia, and adjunctly provides individual, couples, and family therapy in a private practice setting in Savannah, GA.
